KVKK disclosure & privacy information
1. Data controller
SkyEngineX (“we”) acts as the data controller for personal data submitted through the recruitment form on this website, within the meaning of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”). You can reach us at hello@skyenginex.com.
2. What we collect
The recruitment form asks only for what we need to evaluate an application:
- Name
- Email address
- University and department
- City
- A description of your previous projects
- The area you want to improve in
- Self-reported skill levels across six areas
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or over, and that you have read this disclosure
We do not ask for a phone number, a national identity number, health data, biometric data, or any other special category of personal data. Please do not include information of that kind in the free-text fields.
3. Why we process it
Your data is processed for the following purposes only:
- Evaluating your application to join the SkyEngineX team
- Contacting you about that application
- Keeping a record of applications so we can get back in touch if a suitable role opens later
We do not use application data for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to build profiles for any purpose beyond the ones listed above.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on your explicit consent under Article 5/1 of the KVKK, given when you tick the consent box on the form. Where processing is necessary for taking steps at your request prior to a possible working relationship, Article 5/2 may also apply.
5. Age requirement
Applications are open to people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has submitted an application, write to hello@skyenginex.com and we will delete the record.
6. How it is stored and who can see it
Application data is accessible only to the people at SkyEngineX involved in reviewing applications. It is held in the systems we use to receive and review submissions, including our email provider. The form on this site delivers each submission to us by email through a third-party form-delivery service, which processes the submission in transit. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Where a service provider we use stores data outside Türkiye, that transfer takes place on the basis of your explicit consent under Article 9 of the KVKK.
7. How long we keep it
We keep application data for up to 24 months from the date of submission, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
8. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed
- Request information about the processing
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
- Know the third parties to whom your data has been transferred
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- Request deletion or destruction of your data
- Object to a result produced solely by automated analysis
- Claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@skyenginex.com from the email address you used to apply. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal, and we will delete your application record on request.
10. Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the animation libraries are loaded from a public CDN; those providers may log the request as part of serving the file.
11. Changes
If this disclosure changes, the updated version will be published on this page. Applications are always processed under the version in force at the time they were submitted.
This page explains our current practice in plain language. It is an information notice, not legal advice, and it does not replace a formal KVKK clarification text (aydınlatma metni) reviewed by a lawyer.
